Houseguests~

We've had my parents, my sister Karlee and her boyfriend Matt staying with us since Wednesday evening. Karlee is in a wedding in the Milwaukee area today so they've all been staying here to spend some extra time with Lauren. Karlee and Matt are staying in our basement family room-- it looks like they moved in!!!!!!After they leave here on Monday, they are moving to Denver. So they actually have all their stuff for their new apartment with them at our place. They unloaded it into our basement so it wouldn't be just sitting in their cars all weekend. We've given them a hard time for it though :) Lauren has been getting lots of bonding time in with her "Uncle" Matt. He's been reading to her, playing with her and getting some cuddles too.

Aunt Karlee has been getting lots of cuddle time too. She took over with Lauren's bathtime and I got a few cute pictures.
Lauren's shirt today is sending Daddy a message loud and clear.

Today is my dad's birthday so we hope to take him out for a nice dinner tonight. Karlee and Matt will be at the wedding but they'll come back tomorrow to spend one last day with us before they drive to Denver to get settled into their apartment and begin looking for jobs. Karlee starts nursing school there in January.

What's new with Lauren? She's clapping and pointing at things, she tries to sing along and dance to music (she does the adorable knee-bend dance that is characteristic of toddlers), she has a new tooth on the top and another breaking through. She initiates peek-a-boo by lifting up her bib at mealtime and covering her eyes. Then she lowers it to look at me and giggles. She's still pulling herself up and lets go so that she can freely stand but she hasn't tried to take any steps yet. Another new really cute thing that she does is to sit beside Westin's toy basket and completely empty it. She tries to keep giving him all of his toys. It's adorable :)
