Today's Dr. Appointment...

As promised, here's a quick update from Lauren's checkup today. She weighs 18 lbs 10.5 ounces (50th percentile) and is 29.5 inches long/tall (96th percentile). This puts her at the average length of a 13-month old. The pediatrician said she's going to be tall and thin, like her two aunts :-)

She was given a clean bill of health and passed all of the developmental milestone checklists with flying colors with ONE EXCEPTION...she isn't sleeping through the night at all and she should be! She typically gets up twice a night lately. Heck, last night she got up every 1.5 hours. Ugh. At that rate, she'll be an "only child" for the rest of her life.

Tonight, we are trying the tough-love sleep training, i.e. she'll have to cry-it-out. Cross your fingers for us.

G'nite.

How'd it go? We ended up doing the Ferber method with Tegan when he was still doing that at Lauren's age. It worked well and now he'll just wake up when his paci falls out of the crib. He's been doing SO well the past week or so. Was up just 1 time last night and it wasn't until 4:45. Next step is the transition to the big-boy bed... I'm think Christmas break will be a good time to do that since I've got 2 weeks off.
