My first day teaching summer school went well. I only have 16 kids, which is a piece of cake. I currently have 27 full-day kids signed up for this next school year and that number will probably grow by 2 or 3 before the first day of school is even here. So 16 kids in a half-day summer program is a breeze!
Our weekend was full of ups and downs. Chad's former boss from Repete Corp. passed away suddenly last week and we had the visitation/funeral this weekend. He (Chad's former boss) was also Matt's dad (Matt was an usher in our wedding), so we are keeping Matt and his family in our thoughts and prayers.
The rest of our weekend was spent registering for baby items and working on the front porch. (He might not admit it, but Chad "nodded off" on the couch in the registry department at Babies R Us when he got tired of registering with me!)
Also, he made great progress on the front porch project. The next step is installing the railing. The brickwork is complete! It rained that morning, so the bricks are all wet, which makes the steps look a little "wavy". They aren't--Chad did an excellent job and they're all straight.

Love,
Mindy and Baby S.
