Confused...

Chad and I have been looking at the nursery walls since Sunday night with mixed opinions. We can't decide what to do! First let me explain about the bedding we chose. It's a mix of dark red, light blue, sage green, yellow and beige. It's really pretty colorful. The nursery walls are currently two different colors- pale yellow on the top and dark red on the bottom. Our intent is to use the wallpaper border to separate the colors. Well, something just doesn't look right about it. We haven't put up the border yet, so maybe that's our problem. The paint we used has a satin finish and Chad really doesn't like that. So tonight, we bought the same colors again but this time, they are a washable flat finish. We also got a different shade of red. I think it looks pink. Chad described it as pepto bismol-ish. Uh- if we have a boy, I'd rather not have pink walls :) Right now, he's in the nursery and he's re-painting. Last I checked, he had part of the red re-done with the flat sheen and another part of the red re-done with the newer pinkish version. He also said he's going to redo the yellow tonight with the flat finish.

I almost wonder if the contrast of dark red and light yellow is just too much for a nursery. Maybe we need to cover the red with something lighter, like sage or light blue.

Our furniture is being delivered and set up a week from tomorrow, so we've got 7 days to make a decision and get it finished :)

Here are a few pics (I got my own computer to work for now, but I think it's days are limited).
Chad installed a closet organizer that will eventually have at least one more drawer on the right side--Home Depot was sold out of the drawers the last time we were there. The walls of the closet are painted light yellow and the organizer has officially been mounted to the wall, so the paint in the closet will not change. But we like it, so that's okay with us.

In this next picture, the red of the wall looks darker in the picture than it really is. It's currently about the same color as the red walls in our kitchen (if you've seen our kitchen...). Ignore the box fan in the window. We were trying to get rid of some of the paint fumes.

And since Westin gets his spot in the limelight on this blog pretty often, here's Allie :)

Have a great night!

Love,

Mindy and Baby S.

the problem is that you used paint from Home Depot. Shame on you both
